Kenny was the one of the first person I met at my neighborhood run club a few years ago. He’s become my training partner, coach and really good friend (alongside my personal driver to our races out in New York). It’s been a minute since I’ve made a short doc, but I saw an opportunity to make this story happen with Kenny when he attempted a sub 3 hour marathon at the Micro Breaking 3 in March 2026. It quickly & organically turned into a conversation about diaspora & eventually a letter to Kenny’s younger self, his family’s move from Tibet to Nepal, & to eventually Queens, NY. Feeling very honored and accomplished to make something out of love & to combine my two interests of documentary & running, and to do it with the support of my running folks back at home.
